Some Arsenal fans on Twitter believe that their club are eyeing another raid on Brighton & Hove Albion.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Yves Bissouma for much of the calendar year.

But since last season ended, speculation linking the Gunners to the Seagulls midfielder has gradually declined a little.

Back in March it was reported that the 23-year-old is a boyhood fan of the Emirates Stadium club and would love a switch to North London.

But with Thomas Partey injured again after coming off against Chelsea on the weekend, Arsenal, who have also signed Albert Sambi Lokonga, might need additional midfield support this summer to hedge their bets with regards to the former Atletico Madrid star, who is developing a reputation of being injury prone.

And some Gooners on Twitter are calling on a renewed effort to sign the Brighton star in response to Partey’s latest setback, which is an ankle problem.

Logical?

Bissouma would set Arsenal back another £30 million, on top of the £17 million that they’ve already dropped on Lokonga.

And with Mikel Arteta set to increase Granit Xhaka’s salary amid speculation of an imminent new contract, the North Londoners will be spending a lot of money on their midfield this summer if they did want Bissouma at the club.

Arsenal’s most pressing issue is the lack of goals in their team and it’s the addition of a striker or playmaker, not a midfielder, which should be Arteta and Edu’s focus going forward.
