Stan Collymore has said on Twitter that Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard should let Philippe Coutinho return to Barcelona at the end of the season.
The former Villa star does not think that Coutinho is good enough for Villa if they are fighting for a top-10 finish in the Premier League table.
The 29-year-old Brazil international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, is scheduled to return to Barcelona at the end of the season when his current loan spell at Villa ends.

Stan Collymore on Aston Villa’s Philippe Coutinho
In our opinion, Villa should at least consider the possibility of signing Coutinho on a permanent contract from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Yes, the former Liverpool star has not been at his best in all of the matches he has played for Villa, but he has made a positive impact and is arguably the most talented player in the current squad at Villa Park.
The Brazilian has scored four goals and given three assists in 12 Premier League starts for Villa.
We think that Villa should really look into making Coutinho’s loan deal permanent in the summer transfer window.
