Leeds United picked up another win on Tuesday evening, beating Southampton 2-0 at St Mary’s Stadium.

The Whites went ahead in the second half as Patrick Bamford flicked home Rodrigo’s pass, before Tyler Roberts scored his first Premier League goal to seal the win.

That result means Leeds have secured a top half finish in their first season back in the Premier League.

That’s a huge achievement for Marcelo Bielsa and co – as well as a major shot at the pundits who predicted that Leeds would fall away.

The Whites were impressive in the early stages of the season, but some thought they would wear out towards the end of the season due to Bielsa’s style of play.

Former Aston Villa ace Gabriel Agbonlahor has been vocal against Leeds throughout the season, talking about relegation and suffering burnout in November.

Leeds legend Ian Harte couldn’t resist a dig at Agbonlahor on Tuesday night, suggesting he can’t wait to hear what he thinks about Leeds now given that they’re above Leeds in the table.

Agbonlahor responded on Instagram, calling Harte’s comments ‘petty’ whilst attempting to correct his grammar – seemingly didn’t have a response about Villa’s league position then…
