Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Leandro Paredes, but it seems that the Paris Saint-Germain defensive midfielder wants to move to Juventus instead.

Tottenham Hotspur want Leandro Paredes

Italian news outlet CMW reported last week that Tottenham are considering a move for Paredes.

The North London club’s plan is to send defender Japhet Tanganga to PSG in a swap deal.

We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Now, that may sound like a good plan for Tottenham, especially when you consider that head coach Antonio Conte is unlikely to use Tanganga much this season.

Agreement with Juventus

However, it seems that the 28-year-old Argentina international wants to move to Juventus.

Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Paredes has agreed personal terms with Italian and European giants Juventus.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Juventus and PSG want the deal to happen.

Romano has added that a potential move depends on whether or not Adrien Rabiot move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Stats

Paredes has been on the books of PSG since 2019 and, at the age of 28, is at the top of his game.

The Argentine made 16 starts and five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for PSG last season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.

The midfielder also made four starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League last season.
