Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left delighted after learning of Jose Mourinho’s plan to rest Pierre Emile Hojbjerg on Thursday night.

Spurs are set to take on Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League in midweek, and Mourinho has already confirmed to the club’s official website that Hojbjerg will be taken out of the team.

While Spurs do face a difficult test against their Croatian opponents it does, perhaps, point to the fact that Mourinho has one eye on the North London derby at the weekend.

And Tottenham supporters are excited over seeing a rested Hojbjerg against Arsenal.

Hojbjerg has played every single minute of Tottenham’s Premier League season so far, so his rest is well earned.

The Dane has hardly looked tired, but having the luxury of being able rest of him ahead of Sunday’s clash will be great news for Mourinho’s men.

Tottenham fans are understandably excited over the potential of seeing a fully fit midfield pairing of Hojbjerg and Ndombele working in tandem against Arsenal as the pair have often been very effective together, even when playing when slightly fatigued.

If Hojbjerg doesn’t play Harry Winks or Moussa Sissoko look the most likely replacements for him on Thursday.
