Danny Murphy has urged Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher to secure a deadline-day transfer to Newcastle United rather than Sean Dyche’s Everton.
The former England midfielder thinks Gallagher would be ‘perfect’ for Eddie Howe’s Champions League-chasing Newcastle United, as he stated that Everton ‘could end up in the Championship’, after Dyche replaced Frank Lampard.
With Chelsea going transfer-crazy this month, it could see Todd Boehly break the British transfer record by signing Argentina’s World Cup winner, Enzo Fernandez for £105 million.

The Benfica star is a player of similar ilk to Gallagher, but clearly, his stock is on a different level than the Englishman’s right now.
Therefore, the Chelsea academy product, who was on a season-long loan at Crystal Palace last season, will see his game time reduced if that Fernandez deal pushes through.
There is talk of Everton being keen on Gallagher, but Murphy made it clear where he should end up instead, as he told talkSPORT (30/01/23).
“Why would he be (interested in a move to Everton),” asked Murphy. “He could end up in the Championship. You have got Newcastle sniffing around.
“He’s perfect for Newcastle. Chelsea might sell then.”

COULD GALLAGHER END UP AT LIVERPOOL?
One team that is crying out for a player of Gallagher’s aggression, never-say-die attitude and ball-winning ability is Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
But, after bringing in Cody Gakpo pretty early on during the January window, it’s gone very quiet on the transfer front for the Merseyside club, despite their continued struggles.
Well, reports have emerged before Tuesday’s transfer deadline that Gallagher is a player on Liverpool’s radar.
The England international would be perfect for the Reds, and if that deal can happen, then he should pick it over Newcastle and Everton…so, he might end up on Merseyside, after all.
