Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, former Tottenham full-back Stephen Kelly has been discussing Antonio Conte’s touchline antics against Leeds.
Conte got his first league win as Spurs boss this weekend and it’s fair to say he was excited during his first home match.
Spurs’ players were extremely energetic on the pitch, but perhaps the most animated man on the day was Conte.
Kelly noticed how Conte would react to every single kick and he thinks Spurs fans will love the passion on show from the Italian.
What’s been said about Conte?
Kelly discussed Conte’s passion.
“The passion, it was oozing wasn’t it?” The host said of Conte.
“Yes, it was palpable wasn’t it? You watch it and he is so engrossed in the game he and he kicks every ball, Pep and Klopp do that, they’re the type of managers who are on the sideline and everything that happens they’re involved in it, or they feel like they’re involved in it. Spurs fans have been dying for a manager like this and hopefully it comes to fruition and it comes with a trophy or getting back to the Champions League,” Kelly said.

So engrossed
Conte has taken something of a step backwards to join Spurs. After all, they are mid-table right now and he’s just left the Italian champions, but it seems as though he’s so engrossed in the task at hand.
During the game he was going crazy and after the match he was absolutely buzzing, embracing each of his players individually.
Conte will certainly endear himself to Spurs fans with these antics and if he can keep up these results, he’ll be a hero in north London before long.
