Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night in the Championship and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.
Wolves 2-1 Wigan Athletic
Wolves were unlucky against Newcastle on Saturday and will be frustrated to be back in 18th place. Wigan have lost two of their last three games and are stuck in the relegation zone. Omar Bogle could pose a problem for Wolves but I am backing a narrow home win here for Paul Lambert’s side.

Wolves 1-0 Wigan Athletic
Paul Lambert is slowly turning Wolves’ season around but Warren Joyce is yet to have the same impact at Wigan. The visitors tend to concede relatively regularly and, though Wolves are lacking a prolific goalscorer, the hosts should still have enough.

Wolves 1-1 Wigan Athletic
Narrowly beaten by Newcastle and Burton in their last two outings, Wolves have been shocking at home this season, with their opponents Wigan the only team with a worse home record. The Latics will be fired up for this one and should be able to take a point from Molineux.
Wolves 2-0 Wigan Athletic
Both sides are struggling but the Latics are deep in a relegation scrap and home advantage should be enough to ensure a comfortable win for Wolves.
Wolves 2-1 Wigan Athletic
I fancy Wolves to put more distance between themselves and the relegation zone. Paul Lambert’s side were a touch unlucky against Newcastle, and although their results have been mixed, they should push on now.

Wolves 1-1 Wigan Athletic
Wolves’ league position belies their true ability, I feel, but Wigan have shown some fight of late and will not be pushed-aside at Molineux. Frustratingly, though, the Latics are struggling to turn good performances into wins, so a draw is perhaps the most likely outcome.
