Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper David Raya can play as a number 10, according to Brentford Technical Director Lee Dykes, who has added that Spurs need to pay £40 million for him.
According to The Times, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing David Raya from Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Tottenham have already agreed personal terms with the Spain international goalkeeper.
However, Spurs are not willing to pay the £40 million transfer fee that London rivals Brentford want for Raya.
The Sun have claimed that Tottenham are willing to pay only £20 million for the 27-year-old goalkeeper.
Manchester United have also been linked.
Dykes said about Raya on The Beautiful Game Podcast while discussing Tottenham’s reported interest in him: “My point on David Raya is that you need to pay double because he can play as a number 10. So, you get two positions.”

What should Tottenham Hotspur do about Brentford goalkeeper David Raya?
In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur want to sign David Raya, then they simply have to pay more than the £20 million they are willing to offer for the Brentford goalkeeper.
Brentford seem determined not to sell Raya for anything less than £40 million.
Now, of course, that does not mean that the Bees will be able to get that.
Let us not forget that Raya will also have a say on his future.
That the Spain international goalkeeper has reportedly agreed personal terms with Tottenham suggests that he wants to move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
We believe that it is very likely that Tottenham and Brentford will come to a compromise over a feel for Raya and perhaps settle for a fee of £30 million or £35 million.
