Paul Robinson has taken to Twitter to urge Everton to hire Sean Dyche as manager and claims the Englishman has the qualities to get the best out of the current crop of Toffees players – having worked with Dyche briefly at Burnley.
Dyche, 51, is one of the front runners to take over at Goodison Park. The Mirror claims Dyche has actually overtaken Marcelo Bielsa in the race to win the Everton job and replace Frank Lampard. Bielsa has reservations about the role.
Of course, a move to Everton would see the Toffees finally managed by Dyche – after previous links with the long-term Burnley boss. Sacked last April, Dyche is yet to return to management. But he would reunite with a couple of players.
James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil both impressed at Turf Moor under Dyche’s leadership, as two crucial members of the Dyche era. Robinson, who finished his career at Burnley under Dyche, urged Everton to hire his old Burnley boss.

Dyche seems like the obvious choice – but the right one, too. Everton have been strongly linked with Bielsa. Thomas Frank is not going to leave Brentford, Ralph Hasenhuttl hardly excites and Marcelino is untested in the Premier League.
Given the predicament Everton are currently in, they need a boss that is tried and tested in the top tier. Dyche is ideal for the Toffees right now. A man that knows how to get a side out of the clutches of the drop zone. Everton are 19th.
Bielsa almost got Leeds relegated before Jesse Marsch saved them. Hasenhuttl’s Saints were heading that way before his exit. Frank, as said, is not leaving Brentford to join the Toffees. Dyche is perfect for Everton at this current moment.
