Paul Merson has stated his prediction for Chelsea v Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The top-of-the-table Gunners visit Stamford Bridge this weekend in potentially the biggest test of their Premier League title credentials yet.

Arsenal have obviously overcome tests this season in the form of Spurs and Liverpool, but both of which were home fixtures.

Chelsea away is bound to throw up something more difficult for Mikel Arteta’s side and Merson believes the clash in West London will end in a point apiece.

He told Sportskeeda: “Arsenal are flying in the Premier League at the moment, and they don’t need the World Cup rest. They’re on a roll and they were outstanding against Forest. I think this match will end in a draw, and that’ll be a good result for Arsenal. 1-1.”

It would certainly help the North Londoners get Gabriel Jesus firing again.

Yes, the former Manchester City hitman is still playing relatively well, evident by his assists against Nottingham Forest last weekend.

But as a number nine, he’ll always be judging on scoring goals and the Arsenal attacker hasn’t found the net in over a month now.

Chelsea are defending very well under Graham Potter and no doubt that the Brazil international has the power to unlock the Blues’ defence.

If Arsenal do win, though, then it’s definitely time to start taking Arteta’s side very seriously in terms of being Premier League title challengers.
