Paul Merson has suggested in The Daily Star that Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny is good enough to play for Liverpool or Manchester City.
“Out of all the other top six teams, how many would take any of Arsenal’s players?” the former Arsenal attacker wrote in The Daily Star. “Laurent Koscielny might get in Liverpool or Manchester City’s back four. Maybe.”

Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez and Germany international attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil are the two best players in the current Arsenal squad, but Koscielny’s importance and quality cannot be overstated.
The 31-year-old central defender is one of the best in his position in the Premier League and has been playing well this season.
Given the defensive issues that Liverpool and City have had so far this season, they could do with someone like Koscielny.
