Paul Merson heaped praise on to Gabriel Martinelli for his pinpoint assist for Ben White’s goal for Arsenal in their 4-1 victory against Leeds United.

The £180,000-a-week [Sport Bible] man beat Luke Ayling before putting in an incredible pass inside the box for the Englishman to tap the ball home.

Paul Merson reacted the goal from Arsenal against Leeds United by reserving special praise for Gabriel Martinelli for Ben White’s strike.

The Brazilian international, described as ‘really talented’ by Wayne Rooney is having one hell of a season, putting in goals and assists during the business end of the campaign on a frequent basis.

While Martinelli was slated by several fans and pundits alike for a dip in his overall showings, he has continued to remain clutch for Mikel Arteta’s side, proving his status as one of the most in-form wingers in the world currently.

“What a goal. Arsenal have dominated since the restart. Great bit of play from Martinelli, he goes past Ayling like he isn’t there. There’s Ben White to steer in. Great finish”, he said on Sky Sports.

The Gunners have a gem in Martinelli

Often, Bukayo Saka may get much of the credit at London Colney and perhaps rightly so for being their standout performer since his breakthrough.

But as Paul Merson witnessed against Leeds, Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli also produces magic on a regular basis, despite perhaps not getting as much credit as he deserves.

Martinelli has added incredible numbers to all the flair and pace to his displays and to be this well-rounded of a wide player at 21 years old is beyond ridiculous.

Mikel Arteta’s side have an absolute gem in the youngster, who is only getting started and could become one of the outright best players in the world one day.
