Lambert made a plethora of changes to his staring XI for Wolves’ trip to Oakwell, and he explained the reason behind leaving out many of his talented attackers, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“I knew I had to change it. Coming here was a really difficult place to come. To do what we’ve done with three youngsters in the team, I left out Costa, Dicko, Weimann, Stearman, Evans and Saville. But I always say I’ve got great faith in my players. I knew I had to change the front lads as they’re the catalyst for the pressing.”

Lambert’s men currently sit in 16th position in the table, but are only 11 points adrift of sixth placed Derby County, and with 18 games still to play, they have every chance of embarking on a run that would see them contend for a top six place in the division.
