Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are reacting to potentially signing Antoine Griezmann.

According to L’Equipe, as translated by GFFN, Barcelona have offered the France international to Spurs and Manchester City.

The Spanish giants are heavily in debt to the tune of around £1.2 billion and offloading the former Atletico Madrid attacker – who wants a return to Diego Simeone’s side – is among their top priorities.

Here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted to the speculation on Twitter:

Too much

Griezmann earns an eye-watering £750,000 per week at Camp Nou.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy might’ve pulled some magic to get big-earning Gareth Bale on loan last summer, but this is next level.

Besides, there is a sense that the Frenchman may be something of a fading force.

Yes, he’s still a fantastic player, but one who is the wrong side of 30 and there’s just no way Levy is going to break the bank for somebody who turns 31 next year.

Even if the Lilywhites don’t lose Harry Kane, Levy will still need additional attacking support and on their budget, a move like this is just massively unlikely.
