Leeds United are among the clubs reportedly interested in signing Aaron Hickey, and the Elland Road faithful will be encouraged to know that AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini has been personally impressed by the left-back.

Earlier this month, 90min reported that Leeds, Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham United and Chelsea are among the clubs who want to sign Hickey from Bologna in the summer transfer window.

The Scottish Sun have now reported that Italian giants AC Milan are keen on the former Hearts star and have stepped up their efforts to sign him this summer.

The report has claimed that Milan legend Maldini, who is now the Technical Director at the Italian club, has been personally impressed by the full-back.

Maldini, as we all know, is one of the greatest defenders of all time.

Encouraging

In our opinion, Leeds fans should be encouraged by claims that Maldini personally wants Hickey.

It shows just how good the former Hearts left-back is.

And he is only 19.

The Scotland international left-back has made 26 starts and one substitute appearance in Serie A for Bologna so far this season.

The teenager has scored four goals and given one assist in those games.
