Sofyan Amrabat reportedly wants to join Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United despite having interest from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
According to Corriere della Serra, both Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina in the summer transfer window.
Serie A club Fiorentina are willing to sell Amrabat this summer and want €30 million (£26 million) for him.
Corriere della Serra has claimed that Liverpool have made an approach for Amrabat.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has turned down the advances of the Merseyside club.
Amrabat wants to move to Manchester United instead and has already said yes to the proposal from the Red Devils.
After contact between United and Amrabat’s entourage, the former Club Brugge star has agreed to join the Red Devils.
Sofyan Amrabat’s Manchester United decision a blow for Liverpool
In our opinion, Sofyan Amrabat choosing Manchester United as his next club will come as a blow for Liverpool.
Liverpool are reportedly about to lose two midfielders.

England international midfielder Jordan Henderson is on his way to Al Ettifaq, while Brazilian defensive midfielder Fabinho is set to move to Al Ittihad, according to The Mirror.
James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita have already left Anfield.
Although Liverpool have signed Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister in the summer transfer window, there is room for more midfielders in the squad.
Amrabat, described as “outstanding” by former Manchester United star Roy Keane on ITV (7:02pm, December 18, 2022), is one of the best defensive midfielders around.
The Fiorentina star is a very experienced player who played for Morocco at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and was described as a “crazy player” by Tuttosport director Guido Vaciago in Tuttomercatoweb in December 2022.
Amrabat made 24 starts and five substitute appearances in Serie A for Fiorentina last season, providing one assist in the process.
