Roy Keane has praised reported Liverpool target and Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on ITV (7:02pm, December 18, 2022), and has said that the Morocco international was “outstanding” at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The former Manchester United star has been hugely impressed by Amrabat, linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the January transfer window.
Morocco reached the semi-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Amrabat, 26, was the star of the show for the African giants and was arguably the best defensive midfielder at the World Cup in Qatar.
ITV have named the Fiorentina midfielder in their World Cup Team of the Tournament.
And Keane believes that Amrabat was “outstanding” in Qatar.

The Daily Mail have reported that Liverpool are among the clubs keen on the Morocco star.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the midfielder, while Arsenal have been urged to sign the Fiorentina ace in the middle of the season.
Keane said about Amrabat: “He was outstanding.”

Sofyan Amrabat has made 10 starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A and has played five times in the UEFA Europa Conference League for Fiorentina so far this season.
The 26-year-old made seven appearances for Morocco at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
