Harry Redknapp has emerged as a shock candidate for the Leeds United job.
The Mirror report that the 75-year-old is keen to head to Elland Road and given that Leeds are being rejected by almost every candidate they approach, it may not be beyond the realms of possibility that Redknapp gets this job.
If Redknapp does end up at Leeds, he’ll, for a change, be linking up with a group of players he doesn’t know too well, but there is one Leeds player Redknapp is already a fan of.
Indeed, when speaking to Sky Sports during Leeds’ first season back in the Premier League, the managerial candidate spoke incredibly highly of Patrick Bamford.

Redknapp a fan of Bamford
The ex-Spurs boss spoke highly of the Leeds striker on Sky Sports.
“He has been everywhere hasn’t he?” said Redknapp.
“But I think he looks a fantastic player. His finishing has been outstanding.”
“I can see him making the England squad. If we are picking it on performances then he has to be right there, hasn’t he?”
A Redknapp striker
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Redknapp in the game, but if we remember correctly, Bamford is exactly the type of striker Redknapp would love.
He’s a bit Robbie Keane-esque. He’s got a fantastic ball-striking technique, he can drop deep and he can do a lot of running.
Redknapp would probably love working with Bamford, and if Leeds are to stay up, getting a manager in who can get the best out of the striker will be vital.
If Redknapp hasn’t lost his coaching touch, he could work wonders with Bamford.
