Sam Greenwood has labelled Aston Villa and Leicester City transfer target Jack Harrison on Instagram as ‘outrageous’ for his thunderbolt strike during Leeds United’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

The 26-year-old, who is a transfer target for both Villa and Leicester before Tuesday’s deadline, opened the scoring against the League One side by firing in a first-time left-footed screamer from 30 yards out.

It was a moment of Premier League quality from the Englishman, who moved to Elland Road on a permanent basis for £11 million from Manchester City in 2021 (BBC Sport).

Not only was it a moment of Premier League quality from Harrison, but a sign as to why clubs in England’s top-flight are keen on the versatile winger.

That was only his second goal of the season, and given that he can strike the ball in such a manner, it has to be questioned why he isn’t finding the back of the net a lot more.

Nonetheless, Harrison posted on his IG ‘always happy to get the win and a goal’, whilst several teammates praised him for yesterday’s actions in the comments section, including Sam Greenwood, Dani van den Heuvel and Crysencio Summerville.

HARRISON SHOULD STAY PUT

Leeds have a plethora of attacking talent on their books, including some rising young stars, no more so than Willy Gnonto.

And whilst the final days of the transfer window can throw up some crazy moments, Jack Harrison should stay put and try to help Leeds climb out of danger.

Whilst Villa are looking for forward options, someone like Harrison wouldn’t have been on the lips of fans, plus, why would the Yorkshire club sell to Leicester given that they are both in a relegation battle, at this moment in time?!
