According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook on Twitter, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are interested in signing Leeds United winger Jack Harrison, a player Manchester City sold for £11 million.

Crook has claimed that Villa, Newcastle United and Leicester City all are interested in signing Harrison from Premier League rivals Leeds in the final days of the January transfer window.

You can see the tweet below.

Harrison cost Leeds £11 million in transfer fees (BBC Sport) in the summer of 2021 when they signed him from Manchester city.

The English winger spent three seasons on loan at Leeds from City.

Harrison could not make a single appearance in the Premier League for the Citizens, but he has developed into a big player for Leeds over the years.

Could a transfer happen?

In our view, it is unlikely that Aston Villa will be able to sign Jack Harrison from Leeds United in the final days of the January transfer window.

Leeds are in danger of getting relegated from the Championship at the end of the season.

We do not think that the Whites will be willing to sell any of their best players now, and that includes Harrison, described as ‘fantastic” by Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch in Leeds Live in 2022.

Moreover, it would take a lot of money for Leeds to sell Harrison.

Would Villa be willing to cough up a lot of cash for the winger now?
