Tottenham Hotspur demolished Leicester City 6-2 in North London this evening.
However, the scoreline was perhaps a touch flattering and could have been very different.
In fact, it would’ve been very different if not for Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Rodrigo Bentancur fired Tottenham back into a 3-2 lead inside two minutes of the restart following a rip-roaring first half.
However, Brendan Rodgers’s outfit were almost level for a third time after the Bentancur goal but a wonderful finger-tip save from the France international to deny Patson Daka preserved the hosts’ lead.

From there, Son Heung-min came off the bench to add a hat-trick and make it an embarrassing defeat for Leicester.
But what a massive moment that Lloris save was and according to Sky Sports reporter Jack Wilkinson, even the substitutes for the away team were in shock at the brilliance.
He told Sky Sports: “That is out of this world from Hugo Lloris. The reaction of Leicester substitutes in front of me, who had their head in their hands, tells you just how good that save was.”
This exemplifies what a massive player the former Lyon goalkeeper is for the Lilywhites.
He has a relatively poor last year or so under Mauricio Pochettino, but since then he’s been magnificent and a true leader for the North Londoners.
He’ll be upset at having conceded two goals today, but it could’ve been more because the defence in front of him was lacking in concentration at times, but for his own part it was a wonderful display and a reminder of the 35-year-old’s quality.
