Manchester City attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva has warned Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool about their chances of winning the Premier League title this season, as quoted in The Manchester Evening News.

Silva, who can also operate as a winger and cost the Citizens £43 million in transfer fees (Sky Sports), has reminded Liverpool that the Reds still have to play against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The Portugal international made the comments following City’s failure to win against Crystal Palace on Monday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s side played out a goalless draw with Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in London in the Premier League.

City are now top with 70 points from 29 matches, four points ahead of second-placed Liverpool, who have played 28 games.

City and Liverpool will face each other at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on April 10.

Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva on Liverpool

Silva said: “Still a long way to go, nine games to go. We’re still in a good position. It’s still better to be in our position than Liverpool and they still have to play in our stadium. It’s going to be exciting.”

Big game

In our view, the Premier League game between Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium next month could be the title-decider.

We know that Liverpool and City rarely drops points, and the winners of the match at the Etihad Stadium could eventually go on to claim the Premier League title.
