Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have failed to win against Crystal Palace, giving a huge boost to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the Premier League title race this season.

Manchester City have played out a goalless draw with Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in London in the Premier League this evening.

The result means that defending champions City remain at the top of the league table with 70 points from 29 matches.

Liverpool are four points behind in second place, but they have played 28 games.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to this evening’s twist in the Premier League title race.

Liverpool v Manchester City Premier League title race

In our view, the Premier League title race between Liverpool and Manchester City this season will go down to the wire.

City have not looked particularly great on some occasions in recent weeks, while Liverpool are on a roll.

Luis Diaz has made an instant impact at Anfield and has made the Reds’ already fearsome attack even more potent.

Liverpool will face Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
