The 2024 summer transfer window only recently opened. Plus, Copa America and Euro 2024 are currently on-going and halting business.
Once these tournaments conclude, you suspect transfers across Europe will start to go off and deals, left, right and centre will take place.
Ange Postecoglou is one of those who will be expectant because he needs some serious quality added to his team ahead of Tottenham‘s return to Europe.
No Upcoming Fixtures
Darren Ambrose expressed that ‘Spurs need players’ and it is ‘frustrating’ with how things have panned out thus far.
It was put to him that they should bring in Manchester City playmaker Jack Grealish after he was left out of England’s Euro 2024 squad.
TalkSport presenter and Spurs fan Majestic suggested the name of Grealish and Ambrose backed it by calling him a ‘proven winner’.
But he also joked that, with James Maddison also in the team, Tottenham’s kit would be ‘sponsored by Louis Vuitton’ if they were able to bring the former Villa man on board, as he told talkSPORT.
You could argue that the Treble-winner doesn’t start for Guardiola now after his poor season and the emergence of Jeremy Doku.

“Do you know who I would even say,” said Spurs fan Majestic. “Jack Grealish. Someone who isn’t afraid. Imagine him linking up with Maddison. Just the connection and the chemistry there.”
Ambrose responded: “Proven winner. You have Jack Grealish and James Maddison in the same team. Our kit would be sponsored by Louis Vuitton or something.
“But I agree. Spurs need players and it’s frustrating waking up every day and not seeing anyone linked.”
Jack Grealish transfer is a long time coming…

Look, he is a £100 million player on paper, so from that aspect, Spurs have no chance and Levy would suffer a heart attack if he had to spend that sort of money.

But it can’t be argued that a player like Grealish is needed at Hotspur Way and perfect for that left side, with someone like Son Heung-min down the middle and then Brennan Johnson on the right.
That’s the level of player Spurs need to aim for if they want to go to the next level because there is going to be a lot of pressure on them in Postecoglou’s second season.
