San Lorenzo are ready to sell striker Adolfo Gaith amid speculation linking the Argentina international with Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion, managing director Diego Delladone has told FCInterNews.
The Whites and The Baggies are not just going head-to-head for the Championship title. They are also competing for the signature of a 6ft 3ins targetman ominously nicknamed ‘The Tank’ back home in South America.
TYC Sports claim that West Brom want to sign a striker who has been compared to none other than Bayern Munich talisman Robert Lewandowski.
Gaich could represent an immediate upgrade on the likes of Charlie Austin and Kenneth Zohore at the Hawthorns.
At Elland Road, meanwhile, the over-reliance on Patrick Bamford continues to leave many a Leeds supporter wringing their hands. Bamford, after all, is not exactly the most consistent number nine in England’s second tier.
And the chance to work under a former Argentina manager, Marcelo Bielsa, will surely appeal to Albiceleste international Gaich (PassioneInter).
“The Gaich release-clause is £13 million. And it is totally negotiable,” Delladone explains with San Lorenzo preparing for life without their 21-year-old ace.

“We don’t want to let him go on loan. Our idea is to sell the player in this window.”
Considering that Gaich has also been linked with Barcelona, PSG, Monaco and Inter Milan, with Delladone admitting that San Lorenzo have a great relationship with Nerazzuri vice-president Javier Zanetti, both Leeds and West Brom have their work cut out here.
