Manchester United are back in Premier League action against Fulham, and they’re set to have a boost with their latest signing available.
Michael Carrick is facing a different kind of challenge this weekend as Manchester United take on Fulham, with the Reds expected to be favourites for the first time since he took over.
United were underdogs in their recent wins over Manchester City and Arsenal, and all the pressure was on the opposition to win those matches.
With United up to fourth in the table, they should go into this match against Fulham full of confidence.
Sunday’s opponents have been active during January as well, with Oscar Bobb coming in and strengthening their squad.
Oscar Bobb completes Fulham move ahead of United clash

The first meeting between these sides ended in a 1-1 draw, but the landscape has changed significantly since then.
That’s true for both teams, in more than just their managers. According to Fabrizio Romano, Fulham have completed a £27 million move for Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb, with the transfer set to go through before the weekend.
Bobb had been well regarded within City’s academy but hadn’t seen much time on the pitch under Pep Guardiola this season.
Now with Marco Silva’s squad, Bobb could make his first appearance against United and will be looking to make an impact against familiar opposition.
With Adama Traore leaving for Leeds earlier in the week, Bobb looks set to fill that gap in Fulham’s squad right away.
Guardiola admired Oscar Bobb’s abilities, but City let him go
Bobb had worked his way into the City setup, but found himself pushed further down the list after the arrival of Antoine Semenyo.
While Guardiola spoke highly of him, he didn’t see enough to keep him in Manchester. “I have a lot, a lot of incredible, good opinions about him,” Guardiola said about Bobb in November, as quoted by BBC Sport. “His intuition is extraordinary. The moment he frees his mind he can do it.”
United will need to pay close attention to Bobb this weekend. He’ll be eager to make an impact right away with his new side.
