Ben Foster has claimed that Leeds United transfer target Ismaila Sarr is ‘one of the quickest I have ever seen’ and the Watford winger has an ‘awful lot of ability’, as he told talkSPORT.
Sarr has been the subject of heavy transfer talk this summer, with a move to Aston Villa collapsing, as well as Jesse Marsch’s side and Crystal Palace showing interest in the £25 million-rated player.
There’s no doubt that a player of Sarr’s ability is just too good for England’s second tier – he’s even scoring goals from the halfway line to prove that point.

Watford’s front three that suffered relegation last season – Emmanuel Dennis, Joao Pedro and Sarr himself – might just return to the Premier League in next to no time, with Dennis now at Nottingham Forest, Newcastle showing interest in Pedro and Sarr of interest to others.
Sarr’s future is one to look out for before next week’s deadline because Watford are proving that they are willing to let their players leave if the money is put on the table.
Free-agent goalkeeper Foster played alongside Sarr for a number of years and he made it clear that he has the ability to play for ‘one of the big boys’.
“Sarr is the (pick of the bunch between Emmanuel Dennis and Joao Pedro),” said Foster. “He has got an awful lot of ability. He is one of the quickest I have ever seen. Lightening quick. When his head is in the right place, he could play for one of the big boys.
“I think he could be a little bit disheartened over the last couple of years at Watford playing in a struggling team. He had injuries and off to the AFCON and all that stuff.
“But if somebody could buy him and get the best out of him, then they have a proper player on their hands.”

SHOULD LEEDS MOVE FOR SARR?
In terms of style of play, Sarr’s ability to showcase great movement in the penalty area, speed on the counter and versatility in the forward areas certainly makes him a logical signing for Leeds.
Jesse Marsch’s strong start to the new Premier League season, and recent 3-0 win over Chelsea, is making others stand up and take notice.
Will it help them land potential targets before next week’s transfer deadline? Well, they shouldn’t have too much trouble signing Sarr because he would be swapping the Championship for the Premier League.
But if Leeds have competition elsewhere, then they better be quick in signing the player that would also suit Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace as well as Aston Villa’s currently faltering team.
