Michael Owen says Arsenal transfer target and Brighton & Hove Albion star, Kaoru Mitoma, is ‘one of the best dribblers’ in the Premier League.

A university thesis in dribbling, Kaoru Mitoma isn’t your ordinary footballer! – here’s a lowdown on it all.

Even going back to 2021, the 25-year-old hadn’t started a game in Europe and was even an unknown figure for the lesser-known leagues and teams in the world – now he is being linked to clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal.

But that’s where Brighton work their magic because they have eyes where others can’t see and that’s why they pluck out golden gems from the transfer market.

That’s what happened during the summer transfer window of 2021 when Brighton signed Mitoma from the Belgian side, Union Saint-Gilloise.

Fast forward to the present and he is earning high praise, including from former England striker, Michael Owen, as he told Premier League Productions.

“He has certainly passed the practical test of that side of things hasn’t he (on Mitoma taking a degree in dribbling),” said Owen.

“I mean, he is one of the best dribblers in the Premier League, at the moment.”

CAN MITOMA FIRE BRIGHTON TO EUROPE?

Even though Brighton have lost so many star players, including Leandro Trossard to Premier League leaders Arsenal during the January transfer window.

They have still, somehow, managed to do wonders in the Premier League and they are in with a serious shout of Champions League football.

Brighton are seven points behind third-placed Newcastle United, but they do have a game in hand.
