A report has suggested that Manchester United have been sending scouts to watch Arsenal-linked winger Kaoru Mitoma in action for Brighton & Hove Albion.
That comes as per the Sun about the 25-year-old’s reported move to Mikel Arteta’s side, who was interestingly compared to David Beckham by club legend Lee Dixon.
While Arsenal fans would rejoice at getting their hands on Kaoru Mitoma from Brighton & Hove Albion, it seems like Manchester United have already sent scouts to secure his services.
Manchester United sent scouts to sign Arsenal-linked star Mitoma
The Japanese international, labelled as an ‘amazing player’ by Seagulls teammate Tariq Lamptey is widely considered as not just one of the most in-form but also perhaps the most entertaining player in the Premier League.
While it has seemed like Arsenal could well sign another player from Brighton after Leandro Trossard’s instant success, Manchester United seemingly have other plans, as they reportedly have sent scouts to watch him in the flesh during recent games.

Further details claim that Anthony Elanga could be ‘facing the chop’ next season, which opens up a berth out wide for potentially Mitoma to come in and fill, which striker Anthony Martial’s future is in doubt.
If given a choice, Mitoma should sign for the Gunners
While the fact that a club of the stature of Manchester United reportedly sent scouts to watch him play is likely to fill Kaoru Mitoma with joy, he should prioritise a move to Arsenal if given the choice.
For starters, Mikel Arteta’s side are favourites to win the Premier League title already, while Erik ten Hag will need more time to fully execute his vision.
In addition, Mitoma may struggle to usurp Marcus Rashford for a starting spot on the left wing, while he is much likelier to perhaps even take Gabriel Martinelli’s place in the side.
