Social media is becoming a bigger and more useful tool for clubs to communicate with fans. But for Wolves, it is becoming a platform to troll rival players, namely Harry Kane.
In one of their latest videos on the app TikTok, a Tottenham fan left a comment claiming that Kane is better than Wolves star Raul Jimenez.
To the surprise of the football community, the Wolves admit to the account replied, saying: “But at least Jimenez wants to play for us.”
As you would expect, the reply received a huge reaction across the internet. With rival fans in stitches over the shade Wolves threw at Spurs regarding their star player Kane.
The England captain was eager to leave the north London side during the simmer transfer window. However, despite stern interest from Manchester City, Kane stayed with Spurs. With the striker playing against Wolves this season when speculation was at its highest.
Indeed, the Kane saga was one of the most drawn-out stories this summer. And we’re now at a stage where clubs are now comfortable taking part in subtle trolling given how intense the episode was over the window.
And even for Tottenham fans on social media, they thought Wolves’ sly dig at Kane was hilarious, with supporters applauding the West Midlands club for their comment.
