RB Salzburg CEO Stephan Reiter has said talks between Borussia Dortmund for Liverpool and Newcastle United target Karim Adeyemi are processing well, with a deal set to be complete in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Sky Germany via Fabrizio Romano, the Austrian Bundesliga club chief revealed that Dortmund are making steps in the right direction in signing Adeyemi, who is set to become Salzburg’s record sale this summer.
As reported by Bild, the European side are demanding €45m (£38m) for the German international, a fee that eclipses what Salzburg sold the likes of Erling Haaland and Patson Daka for in recent transfer windows.
And now, talks between Dortmund and Salzburg over Adeyemi appear to be back on track, with reports suggesting a new weeks ago that negotiations were close to collapse between the two clubs over Adeyemi, much to the enjoyment of both Liverpool and Newcastle.
As reported by Bild, the Merseyside club have been following Adeyemi for some time, with Jurgen Klopp’s side huge fans of the 20-year-old attacker, whereas Sport1 were the ones to report of Newcastle’s interest in the youngster.
Indeed, Adeyemi could have made a move to the Premier League had talks with Dortmund completely collapsed, but with the Bundesliga side now back in the mix and on the right track, Liverpool and Newcastle seem to miss out on the talented attacker.

Moving to Salzburg from the Bayern Munich academy has proven to be a smart decision for Adeyemi, and now, the striker looks set to make another wise choice in rejecting Premier League interest for a move to Dortmund.
After all, the German giants are famous for their development of young players, and if their success with Haaland is anything to go by, Adeyemi could become Dortmund’s latest superstar attacker, much to the dismay of Liverpool and Newcastle.
