Aston Villa fans feel Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is on his way to Villa Park after an Instagram hint from his brother.
Dimitri Tuanzebe posted on his Instagram story ‘M6 clear’ added with the eyes emoji just after 10 am on Sunday morning.
It has got the Villa faithful pretty excited because they think he is now on his way to B6.
There have been suggestions that Villa are going to sign the Manchester United academy product on a loan deal.
Villa have Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa and Kortney Hause as their centre-backs and they needed another right-sided defender to fill the void left by Bjorn Engels.
If Tuanzebe is indeed heading back down the M6 to Birmingham then he will be returning to familiar surroundings.
He spent 18 months on loan at Villa, under both Steve Bruce and Dean Smith, before helping the club to promotion in 2019.
Tuanzebe started at centre-back alongside Mings as the Midlands side beat Derby County 2-1 in the Championship play-off final.
Given that Konsa and Mings helped Villa secure 15 clean sheets last season, it’s going to be interesting to see how Smith uses Tuanzebe’s talents.
Does he play a back three? Villa now have two out-and-out strikers in Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins.
Perhaps playing a back three, with two up top might be the way forward for this Villa side that recently lost their star man, Jack Grealish.
Here is a selection of Villa fans reacting to Tuanzebe on his way to the club:
