Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after they spotted the club’s Chief Scout, Steve Hitchen, at Norwich’s win over Bristol City last night.

Sky Sports cameras picked up the Tottenham scout in attendance at Carrow Road, where Daniel Farke’s side recorded a 2-0 win.

Of course, Tottenham’s very own Oliver Skipp was playing in the game, so Hitchen could’ve just been casting an eye over him.

However, some Spurs fans believe their Chief Scout was monitoring Emiliano Buendia.

The Argentine playmaker is believed to be on Arsenal’s radar.

Fabrizio Romano recently said that the Gunners were working with the Canaries maestro’s agent, while The Athletic write that Arsenal have scouted him for 18 months.

In that respect, if Tottenham were to muscle in, it would make for some genuine transfer drama between the north London rivals.

However, if Spurs do want Buendia, then they will have to pay £40 million – a sum that Arsenal don’t want to cough up, according to The Athletic.

If Hitchen was there for the 24-year-old, then at least he impressed.

As WhoScored shows, Buendia registered more key passes than any other player with four against the Robins.

Additionally, Norwich’s No.17 had two shots, completed two dribbles and made two tackles in an all-action display.

Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about Hitchen’s trip to Norfolk…
