Alexander Isak may have been wowing supporters, including those of Arsenal, at Euro 2020 this summer.
But the Sweden international, 21, has also had his say on Gary Lineker, who was praising the teenager for his performances at the major tournament.
When the Arsenal-linked target was asked whether he knows who ex-Spurs player, Lineker, is the La Liga-based player shared that he has ‘little’ knowledge’ about him and referred to him as an ‘old player in the studio’, as posted by BBC Sport.
The Match of the Day host was seemingly set up by his fellow pundit, including Micah Richards, as they showed him what Isak had to say live on air.
“Isak caused them (Spain) a lot of problems,” said Richards. “He has been talking about you, hasn’t he, Gary?”
Isak on Lineker praise: “I am aware of him. Is he an old player working in the studio? Well, I wasn’t born then (on being told Lineker was top scorer at 86 World Cup). But I have a little bit of knowledge about him.”
Lineker’s response: “I said really nice things about him as well. An old player in a studio?”
Richards laughed in his own typical way and added: “How does it feel when nobody knows you?”

Well, if Isak swaps La Liga for the Premier League this summer then he’ll be knowing a lot more about Lineker next season.
Given that he is the host of Match of the Day then Isak will be featuring on it quite a lot, especially if he can wow English fans like he has done with those in Spain this season.
Nonetheless, the destination Isak could possibly head towards is the Emirates, with Arsenal looking for additions in the forward areas.
The Athletic report that with doubts over the futures of Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette, they could target Isak’s talents, and going by his first two performances at Euro 2020, Arsenal supporters are liking what they are seeing.
