Rio Ferdinand has reacted with surprise to claims that Tottenham boss, Antonio Conte, has offered himself to PSG, as he expressed on Vibe with FIVE.
It was put to the former defender that Conte has ‘offered himself two years to PSG’ amid rumours that ex-Spurs boss, Mauricio Pochettino, is set to get the sack.
Tottenham fans probably wouldn’t know how to feel about this because, on one hand, it’s probably believable that the money machine sitting top of Ligue 1 is looking for a new manager.
But are these Conte rumours surfacing because he is trying to force Daniel Levy to get what he wants in north London?
Either way, when it was put to Ferdinand, he simply responded by saying ‘wow’ to the rumours.
“What about Spurs throwing it away, by the way,” said Ferdinand. “They threw it away against Brentford.”
Vibe with FIVE co-host, Stephen Howson then tells Ferdinand: “Conte’s shaking his a__ at PSG. Offered himself two years to PSG.”
Ferdinand responded: “Is he? Oh, wow. We need to speak to Fab (Fabrizio Romano) about that. He wins (if Conte goes to Paris).”

This is where Levy comes into it and this is where he has to stick his chest out and back the trophy-laden coach in his dugout.
It has been just over 12 months since the last trophy-laden coach, Jose Mourinho, was axed by the club.
And if another one follows suit, albeit in different circumstances, then Spurs fans will get at Levy’s throat.
Many feel Pochettino helped build quite the platform at the club, only for the man in the club’s boardroom to offer him such little resources and make life difficult for him.
Either way, an interesting summer awaits involving Levy, Conte and Pochettino.
