Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after some disappointing comments left the lips of Inter Milan speedster Achraf Hakimi.
According to AS, Mikel Arteta is a massive fan of the 31-cap Morocco international, and wants him in north London as soon as possible.
However, it sounds as if Hakimi is loving life in Milan.
Speaking to La Repubblica, the 22-year-old said: “I hope to stay in this club for a long time, here I am happy.”
Now, this throws a spanner in the works.
Two Arsenal fans below have already turned their attentions to another right-back target after hearing these comments – Tariq Lamptey.
The Sun revealed that the Gunners are frontrunners to sign the Brighton wonderkid.
That’s good news for one fan below at least, who said he’d prefer Lamptey to Hakimi anyway.
While the Inter Milan No.2 might not be teaming up with Arteta this summer, it certainly seems like one new right-back will.
Fabrizio Romano recently said he was 100% sure that Arsenal will sign a right-back this summer, and even name-dropped Lamptey as someone the north Londoners admire.
Another potential signing is Emerson Royal – Mundo Deportivo claim that Arsenal want to sign the Brazilian right-back.
