Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Jürgen Klopp confirmed that Curtis Jones would miss the trip to Watford on Saturday.
What’s the story?
Well, the 20-year-old suffered a groin injury in training before England’s Under-21 side were set to face Andorra.
Despite that, Lee Carsley still played him in the 1-0 win, which appears to have worsened the injury – is anybody surprised?
Understandably, Klopp was furious.
The Liverpool Echo quote him as saying: “Curtis Jones came back from England U21s injured, which is not good. It’s hard to get in touch with them. They played Andorra, great, important he played there, come back injured, not available for tomorrow.”
Liverpool are already without Thiago, Fabinho and Harvey Elliott, which leaves the Reds looking quite thin in midfield.
As a result, we presume that Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Naby Keita will start in midfield against Watford.
Liverpool should be furious after Curtis Jones injury

Why did Carsley play Jones against Andorra U21, even though he knew there was plenty of risk attached?
Evidently, the England U21 boss has no regard for Liverpool.
Carsley even said that players wouldn’t be risked against Andorra if they weren’t 100% fit, which makes the situation even more baffling.
England have so many talented players in the U21 ranks, so Carsley surely could’ve afforded to leave the £7,500-a-week man out for one game.

With all due respect, you don’t need to deploy your most dangerous players against Andorra.
If it was Germany U21s, then perhaps you could understand the decision.
Nevertheless, let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to the update on Jones…
