Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an offer for AFC Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
According to Italian publication La Nazione, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are the club to make a bid for the 23-year-old Serbian international. Sky Sports News reported last weekend that West Ham were also keen.
Milenkovic is one of Serie A’s highest-rated defenders. But as per the report, Fiorentina are eager to sell the centre-back this summer, and the Tuscan club have placed a €20m (£17m) asking price on the youngster.
Indeed, the defender’s contract with Fiorentina expires next year, and the Serie A side are eager to earn some profit from their star centre-back.
Moreover, with Tottenham eager to improve at centre-back this window, Milenkovic could be a cheap signing this summer. Furthermore, alongside Cristian Romero, the two Serie A defenders could form a solid spine for Spurs.
However, with a deal for the Atalanta star stalling in recent days, a move for Milenkovic might be more tempting for Spurs this month.

Nonetheless, Spurs fans are keen for the club to sign Milenkovic as a counterpart for Romero, and whilst the duo are both young in their careers, they could develop into a reliable duo in the Premier League.
