Newcastle United have surpassed a number of linked clubs and are the new frontrunners to sign the Hull City winger.
Newcastle United are the new favourites to sign Hull City winger Sam Clucas with bookmaker Skybet.
The Magpies have been linked with Clucas on and off since January, although they began the week far down the list of likely suitors.

Burnley, Leicester City, Swansea City and Watford were all above Newcastle with Skybet, but it is Rafa Benitez’s side now in pole position at 11/4.
However, it was claimed the Tigers are looking for £12 million for the former non-league player, 27, which could deter potential suitors.
Newcastle are believed to be in the market for a new left winger, although it remains to be seen whether or not they could stretch to Hull’s alleged asking price.
The Independent reported on Wednesday that Newcastle are leading to race to sign Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo on loan, and doing so would likely end any interest in Clucas.
