Burnley, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United are all in the running to sign the Liverpool prospect.

Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo favours a move to Newcastle United this summer, according to The Independent.

It is claimed that Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Burnley are all interested in taking the winger on loan this coming campaign.

However, it is Rafa Benitez’s side who are said to be leading the race to land him.

Newcastle have been linked with a number of wide players this transfer window, with Adama Dikahaby of Rennes the latest name associated with the St James’ Park outfit, by French website L’Equipe.

Ojo, 20, moved to Liverpool six years ago from Milton Keynes Dons and has previously spent time on loan to Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

However, the England Under-20 international endured a difficult 2016-17 campaign at Anfield, and it is claimed his manager, Jurgen Klopp, is happy to send him out on loan this time around.

Middlesbrough and Burnley are both in need of reinforcements out wide, with Boro’s Viktor Fischer sold to Mainz on Wednesday and George Boyd out of contract at Turf Moor.

However, the pair could be forced to look elsewhere, with Benitez’s Anfield connections seemingly on course to pay off.

Should Ojo chose Newcastle United ahead of Middlesbrough and Burnley?
