Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship last night.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday last night, and highlighted one particular area of his team’s display that he was not too pleased with, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Black Country outfit currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, having stretched their lead over second placed Cardiff City to seven points with their win over the Owls, and many fans and pundits alike are predicting that they will run away with the league.
Nuno deserves great credit himself, for the manner in which he has managed to galvanise a group of failing players, transforming them into one of the division’s best footballing side’s, and guiding them to the Championship summit in the process.

The Portuguese spoke to reporters in the aftermath of yesterday’s game at Hillsborough, and highlighted something that disappointed him about his team’s display, as quoted by Wolves.co.uk:
“We should have done better. The way we go out and create situations like 3 v 3, I think we should make better decisions. There are moments where we should do better. In the second half, the last pass was missing. I think we should have done better in the last third.”
Next up for Wolves is a home game against Ipswich Town on Saturday – a match that starts a run of five games in 14 days for Nuno’s men, so they will have to be both mentally and physically ready for the challenge that awaits them.
