Antonio Conte has wasted no time getting the Tottenham Hotspur supporters on side after taking charge of the North London club.
Getting Tottenham fans on side
Conte was in the touchline for the first time for Spurs in a Premier League game yesterday, as his side collected a 0-0 draw with Everton.
The Italian was a bundle of energy on the sideline throughout the game, as Spurs battled hard to pick up a point.
His demeanour is in stark contrast from his predecessor, Nuno’s – who was often criticised for a lack of charisma.
Conte’s work actually started before kick-off.
He took the rare move of walking over to the away fans before the game had even started to show his gratitude towards them.
Spurs supporters gave their new manager a rapturous ovation as he came over towards them.
And Tottenham fans enjoyed seeing Conte showing such appreciation for their efforts.
Encouraing signs?
Those Tottenham fans who made the trip to Merseyside would have had enough to be encouraged by at Goodison Park.
Despite Spurs only having a few training sessions to work on their system, the looked far more robust defensively than they had against Vitesse in midweek.
The draw arguably was a fair result, although Spurs will feel that they could have taken all three points if they had shown greater precision with their passing.

Tottenham were guilty of being wasteful on transition on numerous occasions, as they spurned many opportunities to counter-attack.
Giovani Lo Celso still could have won the game for Spurs in the final stages, but his effort hit the post and rebounded to safety.
The point leaves Tottenham sitting in ninth place in the Premier League table, six points away from the Champions League spaces.
