Novak Djokovic has appeared at a different sporting event over the weekend.
Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam singles titles in his career, which is more than any other man in history.
Despite being one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Djokovic also has an interest in other sports.
With the 2025 tennis season now over, Djokovic appeared at Formula One’s Qatar Grand Prix.

Novak Djokovic responds when asked what tennis could learn from Formula One
Djokovic was pictured alongside many of the top Formula One stars at the Qatar Grand Prix, including eventual winner Max Verstappen.

It was a star-studded event in Qatar, and Sky Sports got the opportunity for a brief interview with Djokovic.
In this interview, Djokovic was asked if he thinks tennis could learn anything from what he had seen from Formula One.
Djokovic responded by pointing out how well he noticed the Qatar Grand Prix was organised, suggesting that he thinks tennis should be more like this.
The 38-year-old said, “There’s a lot of things, but I mean, obviously the first thing that strikes me is like how well it’s all organised, and how many things in entertainment and sports is combined into a spectacle that really leaves everybody speechless.”
Which tennis tournament did Novak Djokovic say was organised differently to others this year?
Although Djokovic has implied that he thinks tennis could be better organised like Formula One, there is one tournament he praised earlier this year for being just that.
Djokovic has played a limited schedule in 2025 and has played few tournaments other than Grand Slams, but made the big journey to China for the Shanghai Masters back in October.
When asked why he did this by the ATPTour.com, Djokovic spoke about what made the Shanghai Masters so different to other tournaments.
“Actually my first Masters Cup, what they call it now is the World Tour Finals was here back in 2007,” Djokovic said at the time. “Amazing facility, obviously completely different type of comfort that top players experience here in particularly compared to other tournaments in this category, with having your own locker room, makes a difference.
“You know the quality of organisation is great, you know really, really high standard and it’s been like that for years. You know, Chinese people are very passionate about their racket sports, tennis of course long tradition in Shanghai and yeah I just love it, I love the people and I had a fantastic year last year, played finals and came back to China after six (five) years…so I’ll try to be more ready.”
