Mikel Arteta has now made a “small” change to Arsenal‘s London Colney training ground as the Gunners continue their Premier League title charge.
What’s the story?
Well, the Spaniard is clearly keen for his players to continue fighting as Manchester City breathe down the neck of Arsenal.
In an attempt to keep his players focused, Arteta has implemented the slogan “train to win” next to the pitches at London Colney, above the Arsenal badge.
It was revealed by Charles Watts – Arsenal’s correspondent for Goal – on Twitter earlier today.
You can see an image of Arteta’s modification to London Colney below.
It is fighting talk, and in a title race against a side as relentless as Manchester City, small margins such as this can make all the difference.
There are currently 12 Premier League games left for Arsenal this season, and the Gunners may need to win almost all of them to secure their first Premier League title since 2004 – Liverpool fans will know just how little margin for error there is up against Pep Guardiola’s side.
Arsenal training ground change sums Arteta up
Now, some may laugh at this, and suggest it will have little impact on the Arsenal players as we enter the business end to the campaign.
Those same people may have also mocked Arteta’s introduction of speakers around London Colney to replicate opposition crowd atmosphere, or questioned his decision to remove Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Özil.

However, all of the meticulous 40-year-old’s decisions so far have led up to Arsenal currently sitting five points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Therefore, whatever Arteta feels is necessary to do, Arsenal fans and supporters of rival sides should probably avoid making fun of it, as there is most likely a very good reason behind the move – he knows exactly what he is doing.
