Celtic star Josip Juranovic has hit the headlines as a result of his outstanding display in Croatia‘s World Cup win over Brazil, live on BBC Sport.
However, the £2.5m man did not impress Pat Nevin after something he did in the 27th minute.
What’s the story?
Well, Juranovic shackled the likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Neymar and all who came before him as Croatia defeated Brazil on penalties, after the scoreline was locked at 1-1 following 120 minutes of action.
In the 27th minute of the thrilling encounter, the 27-year-old nudged the ball past Danilo with his head, only to hit the pitch screaming as the Brazil international’s boot appeared to collide with his forehead.
It seemed to be a serious head injury given the manner in which Juranovic went down.
However, the Celtic No.88 was fine, and proceeded to get back to his feet in no time, which angered Nevin on commentary duty for BBC Radio 5 Live.
The 59-year-old said: “Josip Juranovic’s holding his head, he has a terrible head injury. Did he get hit in the head? No. Nothing drives me more mad than that. Don’t feign head injuries.”

We can see where Nevin’s anger comes from.
Head injuries are a major issue in football, and if one unfortunately does happen on the pitch, the referee needs to be sharp in addressing it.
Therefore, we cannot have situations in which players fake these types of injuries, as it may lead to an actual problem being overlooked as playacting in future, which could genuinely prove to be fatal.
Celtic set for huge Juranovic profit
As detailed on HITC Sport during the entertaining clash between Brazil and Croatia, Celtic now look set to receive millions of profit on their initial £2.5m investment to sign Juranovic.
The likes of Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing the Croatia international, who was the focus of BBC Sport’s half-time analysis after his exquisite first-half performance.
Juranovic was also superb in the proceeding 75 minutes, as he helped Croatia reach the Semi-Final.
If the man who silenced Neymar and Vinicius Junior does end up leaving Glasgow in 2023, Ange Postecoglou should expect to receive a fortune.
