Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after Southampton announced the signing of Thierry Small on a three-year contract.

What’s the story?

Well, the Toffees have lost one of the most promising full-backs in the country, although there wasn’t much they could’ve done.

Small cancelled his two-year scholarship at Goodison Park prematurely, in an attempt to force his exit from Everton.

As The Athletic explain, Southampton fought off competition from Leeds, Chelsea, Aston Villa and others across Europe to sign the teenager.

The Athletic add that Southampton are close to signing Lyanco as well.

In that respect, it could be bad news for Perraud.

For now, let’s see what the Everton fans on Twitter have been saying after Southampton announced Small…
