Fabinho has taken to Twitter to respond after Liverpool sent him some words of advice, following the 3-1 win over Benfica.

What’s the story?

Well, the Brazil international played all 90 minutes as the Reds recorded a convincing win against the Portuguese giants.

Fabinho performed superbly, with the main blot on his copy book coming after Ibrahima Konate opened the scoring.

The South American tried to knee slide with the Frenchman, but unfortunately hit a dry patch as he went tumbling over.

You can see footage of the embarrassing moment below.

Fabinho then chose to celebrate Luis Diaz’s goal by dancing alongside the Colombian, with Liverpool telling him to stick to that rather than attempt any more knee slides!

For the sake of injuring his knees, we’re glad Fabinho has “noted” the advice.

On a night where Liverpool needed to dig in at times, Jürgen Klopp will be delighted with Fabinho’s performance.

As WhoScored shows, the former Monaco man won four aerial duels, while also making three tackles, two clearances and one interception.

Fabinho also completed 80 passes, as he kept things tidy in midfield for the Reds.

Going forward, the Liverpool No.3 also embarked on one dribble, made one key pass and won a freekick for his side.

When a game isn’t exactly going to plan for Liverpool, the Brazilian anchor does a phenomenal job of screening the backline and shoring things up.

In truth, there is even an argument for him being the most important signing of Klopp’s reign – there is nobody like him at Anfield.
