Harry Redknapp has predicted that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will record a draw at Old Trafford in their Premier League meeting on Wednesday night.
The former Premier League boss added ‘Spurs are in great form’ under Antonio Cone this season, but he is ‘not sure’ about Manchester United under Erik ten Hag, as he told talkSPORT on Wednesday morning.
Before a ball was kicked for the 2022/23 campaign, many would have backed the north London club to finish above ten Hag’s side given that they are further down to their development under Conte.

It’s also helped by the fact that Spurs have just come out of a season where they secured Champions League football and were riding a wave heading into pre-season this summer.
The same can’t be said for those at Old Trafford, who endured their worst-ever Premier League campaign, and ten Hag had many pieces to pick up ahead of joining the club.
Either way, ahead of tonight’s meeting, this is what Redknapp made of both teams.
“I think you (Ray Parlour) might be right (a draw), it’s a tight one, isn’t it?!” said Redknapp. “Tottenham are in good form. It’s interesting this year. Tottenham are in great form. Arsenal are in great form.
“I do think tonight, I am still not sure about Manchester United. I think they are looking like they are improving. They have had one or two players in. But I still think they are short, whether or not they make the top four, it’s going to be tight for them.
“I wouldn’t want to bet against Tottenham, but if I was forced to pick a result, then I would go for a draw.”

BIG TEST FOR SPURS
In terms of form and recent performances, Spurs should see this one through against a Man United team still trying to find their feet and rhythm under a new manager.
But, as Arsenal and Liverpool have found out this season, this could prove to be a tougher test than they think.
Whilst Spurs like to hit teams on the counter-attack, that has been something Man United have used very well this season, especially in the so-called bigger games.
So, it will be interesting to see how tonight’s game pans out because Conte’s side aren’t exactly the team that will be in your face and winning the ball high up the pitch.
