Ian Wright has been critical of Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski by claiming that Tottenham Hotspur are ‘not seeing their real best’ this season.
The former striker did put a positive spin on it and explained how Antonio Conte might just ‘blast it out more’ of Spurs after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as he told Premier League Productions (17/10/22 at 2:45 pm).
Football’s biggest-ever tournament kicks-off next month and it’s going to be interesting to see how all of this affects player/team form, morale, confidence and, most importantly, momentum, especially when they return.

Whilst Spurs have only lost two games in all competitions – and that away from home – some feel, they still haven’t well and truly put their foot down on the accelerator.
The two teams above them in the Premier League table – Manchester City and Arsenal – have certainly started in that fashion and are playing a much more quick, expensive and aggressive-natured game.
But perhaps Conte is trying not to empty his side’s tank too soon, as Wright spoke about fans yet to see the best from two of their attacking stars.
“With Conte, he’s going to push that team,” said Wright. “Maybe, after January, they will blast out of it more and really go for it.
“We are still not seeing Son at his real best and Kulusevski’s not at his real best yet. We have seen Bentancur trying to do a bit and you know Harry Kane is going to score.”

SON AND KULUSEVSKI WILL FIND CONSISTENT FORM
Tottenham have seen what the above two are capable of on their day and it’s just a case of finding that spark again.
For Son, it has been there, he has blown hot and cold this season, hitting a hat-trick one game, then getting subbed off the next without a real sniff.
As soon as the South Korean star finds that spark again, then he will be aiming to hit 20+ Premier League goals again.
On the other hand, Kulusevski made a bright start to the campaign, but injuries have disrupted him since, so it’s just a case of getting back on the pitch for the left-footed forward.
